Anthony Webb, Bonsaifreund aus Australien, besitzt neben anderen Bonsai auch eine Acmena smithii 'Forest Flame' (Synonyme: Syzygium smithii, Eugenia smithii, Lomastelma smithii). Der Sortenname beschreibt die beeindruckenden Farbtöne in Rot, Gelb und Bronze, die der Neuaustrieb zeigt, bevor die Blätter zu einheitlichem Grün wechseln.
